Cody's Favorites

Cody tends to be very particular about the clothing he wears. He has a lot of trouble with tags and if he feels one on his neck, he will dance around and scream "fix the tag" as I try to hold him still long enough to get it underneath his undershirt.

He also doesn't like pants with elastic at the bottom or ones without elastic at the top. Socks are his worst nightmare. He can't stand the seam around his toes and also hates it if they are too loose. So unless it's really cold we allow him to go around in his Crocs with no socks everywhere we go.

Jackets and sweatshirts bother him too. He doesn't like anything bulky or bulgy. He really wasn't meant to live in the North, and would do just fine where he could always wear shorts and a t-shirt and go barefoot.

Dealing with his clothing sensitivities is one of my biggest challenges, especially since I am always cold and want to make sure he is dressed warmly enough.

Well, recently he has developed a liking for a particular set of pajamas and a favorite shirt. The jammies as far as I can remember were a gift from Amy that she found at the thrift store when Cody was little. They have army jeeps on them and Cody calls them his GPS jammies. They have permanent stains on the top which nothing will get out and a hole in the pantleg. They are too small for him, but for once he doesn't care about that. The shirt was a gift from my sister Jenai and has Shrek on the front of it. Every day or night he will ask if these are clean. Sometimes he will even convince us to let him wear them dirty because if he could he would only wear his GPS jammies and his Shrek shirt.

Here he is in the Shrek shirt and the pirate accessories that Nama and Aunt Sharry (Will's mom and sister) sent him for Halloween. Thanks, guys!!

We have looked a bit on Ebay and at the thrift store for another larger set of GPS jammies and haven't found any yet. They are made by Carter's and he now has a size 5, so would probably need a size 6, 7, or 8. If anyone happens to come across some, please let me know. we are willing to pay a premium. The other day Cody and I were in the PX at Ft. lewis and I was looking through their Carter's pajamas just to see if they might have some. Cody told me to stop looking because "they only sell them at the thrift store in Alabama."
